Press TV has conducted an interview with Dean Henderson, an author and political commentator from Missouri, to discuss the policies of the US and its allies toward the growing wave of militancy across the Middle East.

The political analyst believes that the US and its Arab allies created the al-Qaeda linked al-Nusra Front and the ISIL terrorist group so that they could justify their meddling in Syria.

Henderson maintains that the Western-backed monarchies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain hurt the region by supporting terror groups, adding that they commit crimes against their own citizens by limiting their rights and freedoms.

The US has long history of creating militant and terrorist groups in various parts of the world in order to advance its own vicious agenda, Henderson says.
