Press TV has conducted an interview with Hazem Salem, an Egyptian activist from Cairo, to discuss a decision by an appellate court in Egypt to uphold death sentences against 183 Muslim Brotherhood supporters for their alleged involvement in the killing of 13 policemen.

Salem says the Egyptian judiciary is one hundred percent politicized and it is absolutely submissive to the executive authority, which is now the military. He added that this verdict is a political message to the Muslim Brotherhood in particular that its supporters will be sentenced to death as long as they resist the government’s policies.
