US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More deaths and destruction have been reported as the Israeli regime keeps pounding civilian structures across the Gaza Strip with airstrikes and artillery. At least 19 people were killed in Israeli strikes in Deir al-Balah and Gaza City. Another strike on two residential buildings in central Gaza killed 26 Palestinians. In the southern city of Rafah, the regime’s airstrike left 13 Palestinians dead, all from the same family. In the north, nearly a dozen were killed in Jabalia refugee camp. Israeli warplanes have carried out more than 100 raids on Jabalia camp in the past hours, as spy drones flew over the camp at low altitude. Nearly 35,000 Palestinians have been killed since last October when the Israeli genocide began, most of them women and children.

Anti-Netanyahu protests

Israeli forces have violently clashed with protesters in Tel Aviv calling for snap elections and the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Regime forces shoved demonstrators and sprayed them with water cannons. Thousands of protesters slammed Netanyahu’s policies, saying he has failed to secure the release of the captives held in Gaza. They demanded that the Israeli cabinet strike a deal with the Hamas resistance movement to return the captives. The rally came hours after Hamas said another Israeli captive had lost his life to the regime’s relentless bombing campaign in Gaza. It is estimated that around a hundred-thirty Israeli captives remain in Gaza. Hamas says dozens of captives have been killed so far in Israeli attacks.

Global pro-Palestine rallies

Swedish Police clash with demonstrators protesting against the Israeli genocide and the regime’s participation in the Eurovision competition. The initially peaceful rally in the city of Malmo turned violent when the Swedish police forces stormed the gathering with pepper spray and arrested a number of protesters. It is estimated that around 5,000 Pro-Palestinian demonstrators peacefully marched through the city while waving flags and chanting “free Palestine”. They finally gathered outside the arena hosting this year’s Eurovision’s finals to demand the disqualification of the Israeli competitor. Similar protests have taken place elsewhere in Europe. In Greece, people gathered in Athens' central square carrying pro-Palestinian banners, calling on international organizations to stop Israeli crimes in Gaza. In the Spanish city of Madrid, thousands also gathered to demand an immediate ceasefire in the besieged territory.
